Westwoods Aviverm is a liquid worm remedy for fowls (chickens), turkeys, ducks, cage birds and pigeons, registered for use on chickens in New Zealand. It treats the immature and adult stages of three intestinal worms in a single dose, given in the birds' drinking water.

Directions for Use
- Estimate the number of birds served by each tank and their average weight, then their total live weight.
- Dose rate: 1mL per 9kg live weight.
- Add this quantity to the drinking water, making sure there is enough water for 8 hours of normal consumption.
- Withhold water from 2 hours before nightfall until morning (or until the lights are turned on), then supply treated water only. Flush tanks and refill with fresh water after 8 hours or once the treated water is consumed.
- Broilers and chickens under continuous lighting: withhold water for 1 hour in summer or 2 hours in winter before supplying the treated water.
- Use the drinkers the birds are used to and check they all work. Do not treat in extremely hot weather or on a day when water intake may drop due to a sudden fall in temperature.
- Single treatment. Repeat doses no sooner than 21 days after the previous treatment, and only after seeking advice from a suitably qualified or experienced animal health advisor.
