Aqua One PremiumCarb is an Activated Carbon that is phosphate free and can be used in all types of filtration systems. Pressurised Canister Filters, Hang on Filters, Internal Filters and Wet/dry Filters just to name a few.
PremiumCarb is a maze of microscopic pores produced by the activation process. These pores absorb minute particles held in suspension in your aquarium water.
As the water passes through it the carbon "traps" the minute waste particles in its pores and consequently removes them from the water.
Aqua One PremiumCarb is manufactured using the highest quality raw materials. As a result it is capable of quickly and efficiently removing dissolved organics and waste from your aquarium water. During its production the carbon is steamed, which enlarges the pore size and surface area. This process is referred to as activation.
The microscopic pores in Aqua One PremiumCarb eventually fill with waste. Once they do, they begin overflowing and releasing some of the waste previously absorbed back into your aquarium. It is therefore essential you remove the carbon once it has been used.
Aqua One recommends every 3-4 weeks all of the carbon should be removed, disposed of carefully and replaced.

It is very important to us that you are completely satisfied with every item that you purchase from petmall.co.nz. We understand that there may be times when you will need to return a product that you have purchased from us, and we aim to make this process as easy and hassle free as possible!
You are entitled to a refund, replacement or credit from petmall.co.nz. You can choose to either exchange the product or get your money refunded or as store credit. Our policy allows returns for up to 14 days from the purchase date.
If you are returning an item because you have changed your mind, ordered the wrong size, flavour or colour etc then you will need to organise and pay for the shipping costs associated with the return. We will cover the return shipping costs of any product we have sent out in error or was faulty.
To return an item, it must be in unused condition and not expired, and in the original packaging with tags still attached. If it fails to meet these conditions then we will not process a refund or credit.We cannot refund bags of food or treats that have been opened, unless it falls under the palatability guarantee.All prices on our website are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) inclusive of GST.
